singing male who gave me some good looks and buzzy songs in the grassy meadows of Mount Burdell Open Space Preserve.
presumably mates - definitely friendly
fairly large spider - about 1.5 - 2" long carrying babies on her back; walking across a dirt path in oak savannah habitat
wondering about the cute little fern in the middle of the larger polypodia
either P. calirhiza or P. glycyrrhiza, I think. I did not get an image of the underside, unfortunately.
