Flame skimmer/L. saturata?
Some sort of larval insect in the hot springs. They water was quite hot.

And then, just across from my motel, I observed another roosting for the night in willow. A full, southerly migration in view.
So bizarre. I'd just run into Robert Michael Pyle, author of "Chasing Monarchs: the Butterflies of Passage" swinging his net outside of town. Then this was the next species I saw.
Saw another one minutes later. Southerly migration in full display no doubt on the Eastern side of the Sierras here...,
Laws Sierra Guide refers to the orange spots on the abdomen...
Saw the Saltgrass in the vacant lot next to the motel...

In my motel bathroom . I think it's funny the Geo Map here is calling Bridgeport, Ca. "Coleville, Ca." Old name for town?
