On an adjacent branch, a flower spider. I didn't think these used webs; and I think that it was only being opportunistic as the butterfly blundered into the remnants of an old web.

I planted this California Dutchman's Pipe n hopes of attracting this butterfly. I happened to walk outside just in time to see this pretty lady ovipositing on my ca dutchmans pipe. she circled around and did it a couple more times. My camera is lame right now so I couldn't get any shots of the eggs, suffice to say that they are a rust color and are on the underside of the leaves.
