About 10 feathers in the same area. There are Douglas fir trees above an open area where the feathers are found. Earlier in the day, there were about 4 turkey vultures in the surrounding trees. Some of the feathers are fluffy and some are smoother in texture. All the feathers are grey on the top and white on the bottoms. The largest feather is about 6 cm in length. The grey color extends for about 2/3 along the length of the feathers. The white color is only at the base of the feathers. The bottom half of the feathers are downy in texture. The smallest feather is less than an inch in length.
