Is this possibly a Northern Harrier? I was leaving the park and it was getting dark and dreary and saw two of these flying off in the marsh. They were hovering not far off the ground at times and landing on the ground. They were the size of an adult red-tailed hawk.

I'm going to guess its a Northern.
My first time finding a live conch snail. I wouldn't know how to ID what specific species it is.
Looks like a starling to me. Just want to be sure.

With some level of variation in the top of the thorax, I thought it might be two Ladona species, but I guess this is the only one that occurs in DE.
50+ eastern pondhawks in force in all sunlit forest clearings. By far, the most abundant ode seen.

Arg, I'm feeling rusty -- could this possibly be a yellow-sided skimmer? Or is this the needhami vs aurippenis, with needhami being more likely b/c of the brackish habitat. Not sure if I recognize the thumb, but again, rusty...
I was thinking this might be some new-to-me skipper that perches upside down under leaves, alas...
