Planted near the Castle at Smithsonian Institution.
Second photo shows two different branches with leaves and inflorescence that I pulled from the same corner. Left: simple leaves, slightly smaller flowers. Right: compound leaves with 5 leaflets, slightly larger flowers.

Snake was preparing to shed it's skin so eye's were completely clouded over and it release a potent musk from it's body when held.
Very furry body that plays a role in pollination.
Relatively large bodied bee that has a completely black abdomen with a single black dot in the center of it's thorax.
Plant expresses small purple flowers with very small petals. Pollinators seem to be especially fond of them.
Chilli peppers were a variety of shades between orange and purple. They did not taste very hot but did have the characteristic watery pepper flavor.
Plant leaves are smooth and soft. As if one stuffed a really thick Ziploc bag with jelly. The edges of the leaves are also jagged and sharp.
