Did not see the actual creature, but this is a commercial/industrial area, and this is just a drainage pond, maybe 1/3 of an acre only about .2 mile from a road whose traffic averages around 50,000 vehicles per day.

Where the water wasn’t pooled the creek was only about a meter wide. I found 2 streamside sals here, and one rock with two sets of eggs.
I didn’t travel very far as I would have liked along the stream because after a while I was in people’s backyards.
