This was an odd sight, to say the least.
The unfortunate individual was situated in someone's driveway, and the real mystery is whether it was baited by them, or did it get stuck in the can before being dispatched.
I did not stop to ask.....
This tired individual didn't even notice my presence.
Young & so, so tired?
Like a group of Star
Like a carrot sticking up out of the ground.
poor cellphone pic
hit by car at least twice crossing 8 lanes of highway traffic
And again, my daughter needs to clean her horse stalls.... these are hair-like.
My daughter needs to clean the horse stall....
Pinkie-sized (but shorter).
40ish feet tall. The whitish barked trunk in the middle, and the uneven evergreen top.
Just the hole they make.... all over our back yard.
horribly blurred cell phone pic
Unfortunate roadkill..... I don't usually see these on the road.
One of two 1/2 mile apart.
Oddly, one of two only 1/2 mile apart.
This coot was sitting in the road in the opposite lane I was traveling in. I stopped, turned my vehicle around and managed to entice it to move out of the roadway (it was still dark that morning, and the fowl could not be easily seen).
I assume it was injured or sick, and managed to scoot away quickly when I approached it, but it was not inclined to move at all until I was close.
There was no blood on the road under it, nor did there appear to be any fishing line attached to it when it scurried away. It was nowhere to be seen in the area later that evening, so I am hoping it survived.
