I think I have the right Gaura. On a riverside. Five feet tall, narrow lance-shaped leaves.
Red eft found under piece of bark on forest floor.
Spring salamander found under rocky cover adjacent to stream.
Dusky salamander found under rocky cover at stream margin.
Several Southern Two-lined Salamanders found under rocky cover in and along the margin of a small stream.
Single milk snake found under cover in field.
Two garter snakes found under cover with a single Lampropeltis triangulum.
Found under cover with a Diadophis punctatus.
I found this black vulture back in a recess in a sandstone bluff - I'm assuming she was on a nest...she was also rather unhappy at my intrusion (although in my defense I had no idea she was there until I was startled by a loud, wheezing hiss coming from the back of the recess)
Smooth Solomon's Seal, I think. Could someone comment - thanks!
