Was on the outside of my door tonight at my house. Would love to know the species.
Nymph of a stink bug. Not sure if there is a specific species or not.
My first posting of a Monarch this year. Wish I saw more of these.
Was having some fun with my new macro setup.
I call em sweat bees. I'm realize now with macro photography there are more than just one kind of tiny bees.
Found this guy behind my house. I'm just starting to do some extreme macro techniques that I haven't done before. This made a great specimen for practice! He was so cooperative and really seemed to ham it up for me.
First time seeing this caterpillar. Not sure what it is. Got a couple cool macro shots of it though.
This observation was a first for me. Sadly it was pointed out to me after a punk kid was trying to kill it. Its wing was injured so I left it in a flower pot. It will probably just become a bird snack. Still pretty cool to hold one though.
First for me
These are two videos I did today of our local breeding pair of Bald Eagles here in York. Each of the two videos is a different parent. The one shows the first parent leaving the nest. After the second Eagle gets comfortable in the nest I did a longer video where you can see it yawn and do a little bit of nest management. This was from 100 yards away from the bank opposite of the Codorus Creek.
Please help me identify this sparrow that a friend of mine photographed here in York. Thanks
