Growing in the same riparian area along Walnut Creek as P. deltoids. Possibly the hybrid Populus x acuminata?

Two individuals, one observed preening, one observed fishing.
Definitely a cottontail (Sylvilagus sp.); the three candidates for Colorado are Eastern, Mountain, and Desert. And although it's supposedly out of range, the range maps are wrong: there are cottontails ALL OVER the Denver area and have been for at least the last 5 years or so.
But looking more closely at this, I think these photos are of two different individuals (one has rounded ears, one more pointy) and possibly different species. I don't remember what I was thinking when I made the ID (if that was even me)--can anyone help?
Salt Marsh Moth, larval form. Not on host plant, probably looking for a place to pupate.
