Panzner wetland 15 acres. "Plants of Pennsylvania" keys it to hamiltonianis (because of leaves over 8 cm) but that doesn't match photos and distributions I see at inat and elsewhere.
Perhaps a dozen 3m trees.
Really stood out from native rubus and dogwoods because of prominent leaves and fruits. Wooded area with scattered red maple and cherry and cottonwood and quaking aspen.
On steps to greenhouse (5 flights). Looks young
The tree had little berries and the leaves were maroon like green. The tree bark is about 1ft wide. with rough bark.
The tree was huge and had a bunch of big leaves. The leaf is alternative and have acorn nuts.
