We saw around 30 Bighorn sheep on a southern facing slope on the north western side of antelope island. We saw rams, ewes and lambs. Many of the sheep we saw were rams off by themselves or ewes with lambs. We did see two large groups, the first with about seven sheep, and the latter with somewhere between 15 and 20.
Saw a coyote running off into the fields adjacent to Fielding Garr Ranch on Antelope island. Was gray and white in color with streaks of rust.
Saw a herd of pronghorn lying in the grass on the north-east side of antelope island
As of 2013, this subspecies has been split as Sagebrush Sparrow by the AOU, giving me my first "armchair" lifer. We saw one such sparrow during our travels around the island.
