Description

Viewed this large hairstreak (almost little wood satyr size) along the forest trail at Indigo Lake. Identified as a Striped Hairstreak based on orange cap field mark on hind wing. There has been some disagreement though, so please let me know what you think.

This is the coarser one on the right. No perigynia left. Scattered throughout tamarack bog at BNP. C. atlantica here has much thinner leaves (but not as thin as the C. leptalea on the left)
