Long Island Sound on Christmas Day.
On the rocks below Samson rock. The Madison stop and shop is actually a pretty good spot for lichens. Lots on the rocks, but also on the benches and in the ants trees.
After a prolonged dry spell, it rained all day on the 5th. At about 9PM I noticed a number of small frogs crossing roads as I drove in Guilford. I stopped and caught one and photographed it. The dark mask through the idea suggested that it was a young wood frog. the frog was about half the size of my thumb (about 3 cm snout-vent length).
