Several individuals of this species were observed hopping around in talus area on south facing slope while weather was cloudy. It had rained for several days before hand. None were calling.

Two examples of this species were observed walking on forest floor adjacent to creek bed in dense hardwood forest, after several days of rain. During the morning hours. This is the Red Eft terrestrial form. No aquatic forms were observed in creek.
