Shells exposed during water drawdown as part of a stream restoration project. The following summary is from CRWP’s Facebook posting describing the project: “Lake County Engineers began constructing an access route to remove the dam that impounds L'Alouette Plumee Lake along Morley Road in Concord Township. Lake County has also begun pumping the water out of the lake. Tomorrow CRWP will assist the Cleveland Metroparks with the removal of the fish from the lake that will then be relocated to one of Cleveland Metroparks' public fishing lakes. In a few months, the dewatered lake will be restored back to a natural channel and the floodplain and riparian areas will also be restored. This project is partially funded by an Ohio EPA Section 319 grant.”
