Chinook salmon (spawned out) in Crooked Creek ten meters up stream from confluence with Bear Creek along with two partially eaten carceses on banks of Crooked Creek thirty meters up stream.
Sightings of: Chinook salmon in Crooked Creek spawning in shallows fifteen meters up stream from confluence with Bear Creek.
Two Chinook salmon sighted in Bear Creek twenty meters south of the Crooked Creek in confluence.
Two fish had several white spots on them. Behind the San George Estates.
One live chinook at mouth of Crooked Creek; carcass downstream in Bear Creek.
About 7 pairs of salmon.
There is a very rough access point to Bear Creek about a 3 minute walk upstream from the Rotary bridge in US Cellular Comm. Park. The creekside entry point is marked on the left by an orange staked flag in the gravel alongside the Greenway path. On the right are a fence and greenhouse facilities and a bunch of plastic nursery pots. Recommend good walking shoes or better. Site can accomodate about 5-6 people as the bank is a little steep. Big cottonwood across the creek on the right and gravel bar across the creek on the left.
Around 30 fish spawning upstream of Rotary bridge at US Cellular Community Park. Difficult to access location by land due to brush/blackberries.
