Tommy Thompson Park. Flew overhead and perched atop a tree ahead of us. We watched it for around 3 minutes before it flew off west.
Notice the notch taken out of the right forewing.
Heard in trees in our neighborhood.
It had a very long tail feathers and was diving deep into the lake to eat. There were many. This one has a face that seems a bit dark to be this species. Any other guesses?
Perhaps a baby Northern water snake on a path near Lake Ontario.
