Farm on outskirts of Barre City with old, spring-fed, disused watering pond for livestock.
This little rodent had burrowed into a pot and ran out when I dumped out the soil. Seemed stunned or maybe had started hybernating. Considered squishing it but not really sure if it is harmful to a garden. The fox may find it tonight anyway.
I have no idea what this is.
This was growing on the river bank. It looks like some kind of Lilly to me.
Found under dead pine bark. May be a firefly, abdomen end was translucent.
Sprouted in a greenhouse pot. No idea if it's something that can survive a Vermont winter. Probably not. Slight mild pleasant scent to leaves. Any one know what it is?
