I was incredibly grumpy but forced myself to go out for a run, and finding this little one on a footpath through some suburban scrub I've been meaning to check out for awhile made my mood improve immeasurably. :D
I am surprised the leaves haven't turned yet.
Are people allergic to this like other Anacardiaceae family members? Do I have this ID right?
Small bushy vine climbing a small shrub.
I love the fall colors on this one.
Oriental or Native?
The closest ID I came up with is Self heal (Prunella vulgaris), but even that doesn't look right.
It looks like it's a ground-hugging plant.
I found this specimen in my apartment.
I found this individual under a flower umbel, near a stream, about 45 minutes before sunset.
It's not the best possible picture, since it wasn't actually the subject of the photo, but I was wondering if anyone could narrow the identification down to the species.
