There were a group of birds together in the tree. If it looks like any are NOT the same type of bird, please let me know.

The flowers are purple (unlike the Himalayan Blackberry common here), and the compound leaf is clearly divided into five (rather than somewhat divided like the Himalayan). My limited knowledge of Oregon botany (from skimming field guides in the library) means I can only tell this is a rubus of some sort. I will look up more information when I return home tomorrow to see if I can find the species.
