4cm long, thin bug with velcro feet and long antennae. Kind of not what I wanted to see in my tent when I was doing a mosquito check! But harmless and I peeled him off and set him loose.
a few of these were mixed in with the siskins
saw flocks of these moving across the island every day
probably a fledgling
We had the light on in this window one evening. In the morning, the outside of that window was covered in tiny soft-bodied and fast-decomposing bugs, that reminded me somewhat of mayflies but they were tiny. Just curious- by the end of the week we ended up having to wash all the windows as they were piling up, but it only lasted a couple of nights before they disappeared.
small, brown bird
Belted Kingfisher. He hangs out in a cove all day, and then flies (fast!) off in the late afternoon.
I think this is an alder flycatcher...please correct me if I'm wrong!
