Saw this hummingbird early on my observation days. It was sitting on a branch before flying away. Too quick for a photo.
Saw it towards the end of our bird outing. Very pretty bird with a pleasant song. It was a nice find. Didn't stay in the tree very long though.
This small bird we caught on our birding outing. Looks very similar to the Song Sparrow, it's song is less complex.

A very small cedar. Saw it during the group outing to UBNA.
Fairly small, much faster than the millipede. Less than 2in. Under the same log as the millipede and pill-bugs. Living in very close corridors.

Found one under a small (liftable) log inside the loop trail towards the NE corner. Dark Gray hue, very slow. I suppose it is a decomposer. Living in close corridors with other insects.
It's finally in bloom! A much prettier plant now. There's a patch of them on the west side of the park.
A very large fungus. You have to go off the trail to the trail to the north to find several growths on a fallen tree.
A very distinct looking spore plant. They're all over the park, but closer to wet areas. Grow in clusters.
This was in a forested area that is constantly pretty wet. It was maybe 8-10 inches tall. It was right next to the path I was walking on.
