A nice little poop castle made by an earthworm.
Perfect coyote tracks in the mud.
A great set of tracks to find in the field. The hinds are very bird-like, with very long, thin toes. The fronts appear rather frog-like.
An exposed tunnel through the grass made by voles.
American Crow tracks along the Skykomish River.
Found dead in the middle of the trail.
In a steep, exposed clay bank along the Skykomish River. The Belted kingfisher is the only species of kingfisher found in the Pacific Northwest. The size, shape and 2 channels made by the feet in the tunnel are distinctive.
