To my astonishment, there are quite a few of these around Richmond! They've apparently been rapidly increasing in number and range the past few years. How do they survive the winter?
Green and blue, black primaries underneath, long tails, little cheepy voice in the style of a rosella.
Common around Richmond and the river. White stripe on neck, lots of white in wings and tail when flying.
