Description
Snake feeding on adult female Craugastor fitzingeri on steep slope near the entrance of Corcovado NP. Frog was making distress calls--'Gwa! Gwa!' about ~0.7 seconds apart followed by many seconds of silence.

Description
Craugastor stejnegerianus seen amongst leaf litter in primary and secondary rainforest. These small frogs, just over 1cm in length, are very numerous. At times the leaf litter seems alive with tiny brown frogs avoiding being stepped on.

This gladiator frog is common in swamps of Península de Osa, Puntarenas, Costa Rica. Observation made in Río Piro, by Víctor Acosta.
