Rats of the sky
Multiple house sparrows were chirping from a bush made of small twigs. They were not disrupted by my presence.
Chickadee was guarding the entrance to centennial woods with some friends, chirping loudly
Single crow was roosted high in a pine tree, calling repeatedly.
Two White-Breasted Nuthatches were following each other around a small section of dead trees.
Trailed gray fox all morning but forgot to take photos until fresh snow had filled in most of the tracks. They were traveling and foraging along the railway corridor and passing by potential den sites.
Overnight snow dates these tracks to early this morning; it snowed until 5AM and then started again around 10AM.
Was hanging around where the hobo village is located. Im surprised i didnt see more, there was no snow and probably plenty of old food to scavenge.
They were in the Winooski river, nothing is ever in the winooski river. They were swimming in the direction of lake Champlain. Maybe they got tired and took a break to use the river to get there. They didnt dunk their heads like ive seen mallards do, they probably knew how dirty the water was .
3 of them flying around in a playground by the prep school. were being quite lively and loud flying at one another and hopping about on the playground equipment.
Was a female, just one sitting on a bird feeder.

An enormous flock of European Starling flying over apartment building and offices.
Hoping across a frozen pond
3 Common Goldeneye spotted from about 60m away, 2 male and 1 female sitting on the lake surface.
Seen crossing the street, heading NW as I drove past.
