Was going through some old photos I had archived from my first digital camera back in 2001 and found this spotting. Now I know how I got started taking photos of wildlife.
Not a great photo but captured inside the house and released outside. House sits next to a meadow and forest with a stream.
Calling from the reeds at the edge of the pond, like a banjo player striking a string.
Flying around the yard, large wingspan, roosted in the wood shed a couple of nights this week.
Female E. Dobsonfly flying around the house at night, successfully released outside without getting bit.
