Host for D. Plexippus. Will be interesting to see if any use it in the fall.

Thick leaves like a sedum but i dont know if it is. Plant branched out from central point. Grew about 12-16 inches tall in middle of field near a bog. The field near by had been seeded as a prairie but not sure if this area had since this was the only plant like this

While most of the plants located on the Carrie Furnace site are exotics including some invasive exotics, there was a fair amount of butterfly milkweed (Asclepias tuberosa) around the old hot metal bridge. No idea if it was planted or not, but it was pretty cool to see.
Orange form. Hill prairie.
