Seen in bloom, but with some blooms spent. This attractive and substantial native shrub was seen growing on the eastern slopes that drain to the lake.
I believe this is actually planted as part of Stevens Creek Trail landscaping.

This large multifurcate woody shrub was seen on a steep bank above the golf course. Height of this specimen is about four meters, and the architecture features long arching woody stems from a central base.
