The tree is covered in blossom. It is at about 350 m altitude, in a sunny spot. The second shot shows the leaves, and flowers to some extent.

Found at the ridge top of the Kaimai range. I think a Quintinia.
looks very similar to marble leaf but I don't think it is
Located on the northern bank of the Brown River, next to bridge, crossing the Aorere river.
This tree, possibly a Pittosporum species, was growing naturally along the Cockayne track near Kelly's Creek. Its leaf is the shape of a lemonwood leaf, but it is pale with red spots, similar to a Pseudowintera colorata leaf.
One of my favourite natives.
