Description

Ptersostylis robusta Synonym Diplodium robustum

In the picture with a close up of the flower shows a pointed galea.
The other photograph shows both the flowering plant and the leaves of the non-flowering plant which is a flat ground-hugging rosette. In any one season, only a small percentage actually flowers.

Aproximadamente hace 2 semanas llegaron parvadas de estas pequeñas aves a la Laguna de Axotlan, mismo que se ha avistado desde dos años antes. La identificación de especie se lleva a cabo con el apoyo de biólogos de la facultad de ciencias de la UNAM, mismos que ya han realizado un catálogo sobre la avifauna del lugar.

Description

Growing in sandy soil within 1 kilometre of the beach.

This plant has flowered following fire but the leaf is not blackened by fire. It is turning black as the plant mummifies.

Ejemplar Fungi (hongo) de tipo sombrero.
El sombrero del ejemplar Fungi es de unos 150mm de diámetro en ejemplares maduros, en ejemplares juveniles se observa que el sombrero no se encuentra extendido en su totalidad aún teniendo una forma semi-cónica
Altura aproximada de un ejemplar maduro de unos 150mm
Presenta su anillo y su pie.
El color del ejemplar es blanco-crema, con manchas marrón - negras en distribuidas en el área que abarca el sombrero. en el centro del sombrero en la parte expuesta a la luz del sol presenta, las manchas son negro - marrón con patrón o diseño caprichoso. Este ejemplar se observa después de la lluvia. Su distribución es muy aleatoria y se observan en grupos en áreas dispersas
