I grew up observing nature where we lived in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, on the Lake Michigan shore. I spent several years in Denham Springs, Louisiana, where we had everything from Louisiana water snakes to bobcats, possums, and king snakes in our yard and anoles on our walls and in our curtains. I've also lived in Spain (Madrid), Washington, DC (Georgetown University), and Northglenn, a suburb of Denver, Colorado. I've photographed whales, dolphins, seals, and sea lions in California, and spent 5 years as a Beach Watch volunteer with the Farallones Marine Sanctuary Association. We live at Gateview Apartments in Albany.
