Bernadette Curator

I’m interested in all things living – from trees and shrubs to birds and fish – but my specialty is spineless animals of the sea. With a focus on education and outreach, I’ve taught children’s classes in natural history and university courses in invertebrate zoology, and served as a consultant on field guides and biology textbooks. Recently, I wrote the species profiles for a book on marine invertebrates (entitled Spineless) by photographer Susan Middleton, due out in October 2014. I’m currently a research associate at the Florida Museum of Natural History in Gainesville, Florida.
