I am an independent researcher, practicing naturalist, interpretative consultant, inter-species translator, photographer and artist. I merge all of these studies into a cohesive vehicle for communication with the community to inspire and raise awareness, joy and to empower through knowledge and justice. I am available for plant and wildlife educational and interactive tours, photography sessions, art instruction and general inspiration. I am currently researching the following: 1) Nesting and brooding success/failure of birds of prey (three interactive species) in an urban setting. Includes nest-site fidelity, food availability, historical data, harassment events by corvidae and juveniles, nest health, age of pairs, human interaction. 2) Phenology of local plants and animals; comparing my historical data, looking for possible impacts of climate change and how the local flora and fauna is adapting. 3) Textile art; natural dyeing and drawing with native lichens, mushrooms and tree bark. 4) Cetacean adaptation/behavioral changes to food availability and warming temperatures of the Salish Sea 5) Salmon health and abundance 6) Lack of racially and culturally diverse representation, in the environmental education setting
