I am a bird nerd to the max. I also basically love all other kinds of nature. I was living in Costa Rica. Now I live in Oakland, CA. I work seasonally as an Interpreter at the Immigration Station on Angel Island

I used to work on Alcatraz Island and ran a blog about the bird life there. The blog is still active, though now it's more focused on the bird life I encounter in many different parks, including the one I currently work in. You can find it at www.maganrord.com. All of the Alcatraz related stuff is still in the archives.

My dream is to live in a cave. Or possibly a tree house.
