I've been dragging pieces of nature into my house since I was two. My mother was horrified to find jars of salamanders, sowbugs and other crawly things in my room. Now my daughter is horrified to find baggies of dead bats,birds and other fascinating carcasses in our freezer. So I turned it all into a career teaching kids at an Expeditionary Learning School here in Truckee, CA and a hobby as a pastel artist.
