I have a broad interest in natural history and expertise in North American bird and herpetofaunal identification. I am currently the Georgia (USA) moderator for Herpmapper.org and a former president of the Oconee Rivers Audubon Society. I currently teach or have taught college level courses in ornithology, mammalogy, herpetology, herbaceous plant identification, and fisheries. I also have a budding interest in Coleopterans (especially burying beetles), Odonates, and Lepidopterans. I work primarily east of the Mississippi River, but have traveled to New Zealand, Costa Rica, Italy, Japan, and the western United States.
