I completed my graduate studies at Florida Atlantic University and the University of British Columbia. Currently, I work for NOAA Fisheries at the Pacific Islands Fisheries Science Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. My research focuses on the bioenergetics (energy use/allocation) of marine turtles to understand how resource availability versus resource needs of the individual determine distribution and abundance. I am also interested in biologging technologies, specifically in the drag coefficients of aquatic organisms and how biologging devices affect their natural behaviors.
