Date

April 6, 2006

Description

This unusually colored milk snake was found in the rock wall on Dogwood Lane at Blandy Experimental Farm. The unusual coloration makes it superficially resemble a corn snake.

It was written up, along with other unusual patterns and emergence times, in the journal Banisteria (Virginia Natural History Society) with Joseph Mitchell. Link to pdf: http://virginianaturalhistorysociety.com/banisteria/pdf-files/ban28/Ban28_milksnake%20note.pdf
