Description

Ohio's first nesting attempt of Fish Crows was discovered yesterday. These photos attempt to show the primary feather lengths which distinguish the Fish from the American Crows although voice is an easier separation. If you count the stubby outermost primary as 10, and then count backwards as you travel towards the crows body, you see the big change in length between the 6th and 5th primaries which is pretty diagnostic for Fish Crow.
