We watched a pair of blue ducks on the Styx river. Both were banded. One bird (rg/metal) spent most of its time feeding in the rapids, and whistled. The other bird (Scot Waring saw was gr/metal), presumably its mate, spent most of the time resting on a rock near the river's edge.
