Location: On the McDonald Trail in Fort Kent, Maine next close to McDonald's.

Substrate: Soil lightly colored, dry and rocky.

Habitat: Specimen growing adjacent to the trail at the base of a large paper birch. It was surrounded by a patch of sensitive ferns.
