I observed a few shells of the Fallen Angelwing, Barnea truncata (Say, 1822) at University Beach, Corpus Christi Bay, Texas.

This species has a fragile shell and a long bladelike apophysis on each valve (but they break easily). The specimen in the photos had the apophysis.
