Description

Most of the katipo at Ocean Beach tend to favour quite steep north-facing slopes of sparse new Spinifex, sometimes to the point of dangerously steep. Webs such as pictured, can be small andaappear temporary, but they still manage to raise 1-2 eggsacs before moving on, or maybe getting buried by moving sand. This photo is also a particularly clear top view with typical coloration for Ocean Beach red katipo.
