Pale brown-fawn coloured frog, the same colour as the bark of melaleuca leucadendra trees which are part of the swamp where it was found.
Sharp snout 600mm long with a dark brown thick stripe extending from the mouth to the eye and continuing to the upper forelimb. Some raised dark spots on skin. Strong yellow/black blotching fully covering the flank. Fingers unwebbed with large terminal disks pads on fingers and toes. Toes not fully webbed.
This was the only specimen found in the paper-bark, melaleuca leucandendra swamp at the mouth of the Johnstone River, mid morning 5.7.12.
