This arthroleptid was found in a forested area 2 km south of Mbalangi in the Fako District of southwestern Cameroon together with a Hyperolius concolor, Opisthothylax immaculatus, Amietophrynus tuberosus, and a Charina (Calabaria) reinhardtii.
