After a morning with heavy rainfall in a short amount of time, I noticed this dead GOPHER on the dog pillow on the back porch. Do not know if GOPHER drowned, although it is feasible with all the standing and running water we had earlier, or if the dog finally caught something.

Anyway, the species name "attwateri" was appropriate today because of all the running and standing water.
