Description

Habitat at timberline

Seen at Spray Park, Mount Rainier National Park, Pierce County Washington, USA at about 1800 meters (6000 feet) elevation
Some ID infoo from Mark Egger:
"This is actually Castilleja rupicola, not C. miniata. Note the divided leaves (usually more divided than in this individual), deeply divided bracts, decumbent growth form, and "rupicolous" habitat. These and other features distinguish this from C. miniata."
